1 NSCN (KN), 2 NSCN (IM) cadres nabbed in Nagaland; arms, ammunition & contraband recovered

Assam Rifles and Nagaland Police Personnel have arrested three cadres belonging to two different factions of the Nagaland National Socialist Council (NSCN).

Assam Rifles confirmed the news on his Twitter handle on Sunday that the joint operations with Nagaland police were carried out on Saturday.

During the joint operations, Assam Rifles and Nagaland police officers arrested two NSCN (IM) cadres from Wokha district.

An NSCN (KN) cadre was arrested from Dimapur, Assam Rifles said.

Guns and ammunition were also recovered from the holdings of NSCN cadres during the operations.

Assam Rifles said the restores included three 12-bore rifles, one 9mm pistol, live ammunition and contraband worth approximately Rs 31 lakh.
