A chronology of the mass killing at King Soopers – Boston Herald

On Monday afternoon, March 22, 2021, an armed man who police said was armed with a Ruger AR-556 semi-automatic pistol opened fire in the King Soopers parking lot on Table Mesa Drive in South Boulder and then entered the grocery store.

In almost an hour, the shooter killed 10 shoppers, employees and a boulder police officer who responded to the call of shots fired in the supermarket.

All times are approximately:

2.30 – The shooter starts shooting in the front parking lot of the King Soopers

2:33 pm – Police officers are dispatched to respond to the shooting

2:35 pm – The first officers arrive on site

2:37 pm – Three officers enter the grocery store

2:38 pm – The shooter shoots the officers who respond

2:39 pm – An officer reports that Officer Eric Talley is downstairs

2:50 pm – The police used an armored vehicle to break the store’s front windows

3 pm – The police start using a sound system to order the suspect to surrender

3:22 pm – SWAT teams enter the King Soopers and retrieve Talley’s body.

3:27 pm – The SWAT officers contact the shooter

3:28 pm – The shooter is reported in custody
