American Rifleman | New for 2021: Benelli Super Black Eagle 3 20-Ga.

Building on the success of its Super Black Eagle development, Benelli USA will offer waterfowl, target shooters and highland hunters its SBE 3 platform, which is scaled and tuned to 3 ”20-ga. Shotgun shells. American Rifleman’s Mark Keefe met with Benelli USA to pick up the new Super Black Eagle 3 shotgun. So check out our video above to see them in action.

The new 20 gauge Benelli SBE3 is the slimmest and lightest of the guns in the Benelli SBE 3 range. Like its 12-ga. Cousin, the new 20-ga. SBE3 has the best of the ETHOS line’s features and what you’d expect from a Benelli shotgun.

At launch, users have a choice of 26 or 28-inch drums, all of which come with a vented visor rib and a red visor made from fiberglass beads. Benelli supplies its CRIO choke tubes for this new 20 ga. SBE 3 shotgun. The new SBE 3 20 Gauge will be available in a variety of finish options including Matte Black, Mossy Oak Bottomlands, Optifade Concealment Waterfowl Timber, and Realtree Max-5 Camouflage.

This feather-light iteration of the SBE 3 drops the scales to 5.8 lbs. Empty, which is a significant weight saving compared to its 12 gauge counterparts. Depending on the barrel length, users expect the overall length of the weapon to be between 47.5 and 49.5 inches. The capacity of the magazine tube is set to three rounds. However, users can chamber an additional lap, creating a full capacity of four laps held on board.
