The 16.1-inch barrel mimics the government-profiled 5.56 x 45 mm NATO barrels of the 416, and there’s even a simulated gas block under the front end of the handguard, like the one on the centerfire gas piston version is to be found. The hand protection is free. The floating hand has a Picatinny rail segment on top with M-LOK compatible slots on the sides and bottom. It comes with foldable iron sights that attach to the Picatinny rail and the Picatinny rail The handle is hollowed out with a storage compartment door at the bottom.
Other features that are simulated in this blowback replica are functional forward support, a spring-loaded dust cover and keeping the last lap open. The controls are similar to any other AR platform with the same positions for security, magazine release and loading handle. The HK416 .22 LR breaks open through the use of a push pin, which is also similar to AR platforms. H&K offers 10, 20 and 30 round 22 LR magazines for this rimfire carbine.
