Modern Stag Arms sporting rifles may not have the traditional look, but the company’s firearms now have a real touch of the old west with Cheyenne receivers marked with Wyoming and a new Stag logo and branding. The company’s relocation plans were first announced in summer 2019. Later that year, the company’s headquarters in Cheyenne were fully operational. The logo and stamp are a reminder of all operations that are carried out in cowboy state.
“The new logo reflects the direction in which our team is leading the company. brave, modern and aggressive, ”said Chad Larsen, President of Stag Arms. “This is the new deer arm. With the closure of our Connecticut facility in 2020, we ended a chapter in our company’s history. Moving to Wyoming has allowed us to write a new chapter and focus our efforts on building high quality, American made rifles that will serve our customers for a lifetime. “
Stag Arms was founded in New Britain, CN in 2003 and has quickly made a name for itself for making high quality AR-15s, especially southpaw friendly versions. His first AR-10 hit the market in 2017.
In 2016, White Wolf Capitol, a private equity firm founded in 2011, acquired the company and added it to a stable of gun companies that included Aero Precision, Ballistic Advantage, VG6 Precision, and others. Aero Precision recently took a domestic step towards a more gun-friendly climate.
Stag Arms manufactures a full line of AR-15, upgraded AR-10, and PXC rifles, pistols, and other pistols. The company’s commitment to left-handed models is unusual in the right-dominated industry.
American Rifleman reviewed its Model 10SL in 2019 and concluded, “Given that prices are competitive compared to many comparable right-hand options in the marketplace, there is really no reason left-handed people can get by with a rifle that she is not made for that. Previous reviews of the company’s AR-15 offerings have shown them to be high performing performers, and our time behind the larger, more powerful Stag Model 10SL has shown it to be of equal quality. ”
