Armed NH man planned to sell meth inside Encore Boston Harbor on line casino, authorities allege | Crime

A 32-year-old New Hampshire man recently charged with gun and drug charges was preparing to sell methamphetamine at the Encore Boston Harbor Casino, authorities claim.

Matthew Gorman was charged by a Middlesex County grand jury last week with illegally owned two firearms and three large capacity magazines and allegedly intended to sell drugs at Everett Casino, Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey said Wednesday.

Gorman was arrested in a casino on September 18, 2020.

“Following an investigation by the Massachusetts State Police’s Gaming Enforcement Unit at Encore Boston Harbor, Gorman was stopped in a motor vehicle on the casino grounds and was illegally in possession of two semi-automatic pistols and three large-capacity magazines,” Healey said . “Gorman is also believed to have been in possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, which the authorities allegedly wanted to evict.”

Gorman was charged with the following charges: two possession counts of a large capacity firearm; three possession counts of a large capacity feeder; two counts of unlicensed possession of a firearm outside the home or business; two counts of possession of a loaded firearm; and a count of methamphetamine possession with the intention of distributing.

He will be tried in the Middlesex Superior Court at a later date.
