Clinton Man Sentenced In Illegal Gun Case: Feds
CLINTON, CT – U.S. Connecticut District Attorney John Durham said a Clinton man was sentenced to one year and one day in prison for illegally possessing weapons. Alexander Luong, 31, will also be released for three years under supervision.
According to prosecutors, in February 2020 police searched Luong’s home and found a stolen Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol, a loaded Glock .40 caliber pistol and a large capacity magazine.
Luong was previously convicted in a state court in 2012 for unlawful first-degree restraint.
Luong pleaded guilty to the possession of a gun by a convicted criminal on September 20th.
Luong, who is released on bail, has to report to the prison on March 16.
