Crime studies: Two Vicksburg men face felony weapons charges – The Vicksburg Post

Two Vicksburg men are charged with crimes after their arrest Wednesday.

Vicksburg-based Phillip Moore, 38, was arrested Wednesday and charged with the possession of a firearm by a convicted criminal.

During his first court appearance on Wednesday, Moore received $ 30,000 bail from Judge Angela Carpenter and had his case pegged to the grand jury.

Kenneth Galtney, 18, of Vicksburg, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for possession of a stolen firearm.

The weapon, a 9mm SCCY pistol, was reported stolen from a vehicle in December 2020.

During his first court appearance, Galtney received $ 20,000 bail and pegged his case to the grand jury.
