DC Police Chief Comes After Gun-Toting Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert

Newly sworn Congresswoman Lauren Boebert took a strong stand in support of gun rights on her trip to Washington, DC. During the entire election campaign and since her election, she proclaimed her plans to bring her GLOCK to work in Congress.

Let me tell you why I’ll be wearing my Glock to Congress.

The government must NOT tell me or my constituents how we can protect our families.

I promise to always stand up strongly for our second amendment rights

Note that in the video above, Boebert appears to be walking around the district with a gun hidden under her jacket. One that is believed not to be registered in DC and that she has no permission to carry there.

Boebert’s proclamation didn’t go well with the Democrats in the nation’s capital. The District of Columbia Police Chief threatened the arrest of Congressmen earlier this week.

Trending Politics reports on the DC top cop’s not-so-subtle threats:

“This congressman, whoever it is, I think it was from Colorado, will face the same penalties as anyone caught in the street of the District of Columbia carrying a gun,” said Robert Contee, chief executive of the Metropolitan Police Department, on Monday plans to reach them directly.

In general, a person must be licensed to carry a hidden firearm in the district while open carrying is prohibited. However, there are exceptions for legally registered firearms, ”said the police.

“That congressman, whoever it is?” The lack of respect and courtesy that Contee shows Rep. Boebert is appalling. Isn’t misgendering now a major crime in leftist circles?

Time will tell how this saga plays out. We’ll see if Chef Contee is ready to back up his threat and arrest a seated member of Congress while she goes to work every day with a hidden gun on her hip. No matter what, Lauren Boebert will be a fresh face worth seeing as she stands up for gun rights for all Americans.
