Who were the best performers in Winchester from September 27th to October 3rd?

Let’s take a look at our Fantastic Five:

1. Philip Sughrue, Golf

Sughure shot a 2-over-par 36 in Winchester’s 49-23 win over Woburn on September 28th. He also shot a team best 71 to help Winchester win the Middlesex League shootout with a 228 over runner-up Belmont (229) on September 30th to be won

2. John Scully, golf

Scully shot a 2-over par 36 in Winchester’s 49-23 win over Woburn. He also shot a 77 to help Winchester win the Middlesex League shootout.

3. Niko Fortier, golf

Fortier shot a 37 to help Winchester over Woburn on September 28th. He also shot an 80 in Winchester’s Middlesex League shootout win.

4. Andrew Gosselin, Cross County for Boys

The senior broke Winchester High School’s record for his 3:35 pm course at Horn Pond in the boys’ 3-mile run on September 30th. He finished second behind Lexington’s Evan Eberle (15:31). Winchester lost to Lexington, 21-38.

5. Hannah Cunningham, cross-country skiing for girls

The junior came third in 19:34 in the girls’ 3-mile run on September 30th in Horn Pond (19:41). Winchester lost to Lexington, 26-30.
