Feinstein takes another crack in banning America’s most popular weapons. Once more.

US Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) Is there again. She introduced another law to ban America’s top-selling center fire rifle. She wants to bring California-style gun control to the rest of America. Here’s your problem … with 21 million background checks America doesn’t want that for selling a gun last year.
Sen. Feinstein presented S.. 736, the assault weapon ban of 2021. There was also an accompanying version in the US House of Representatives, HR 1808, introduced by US Representative David Cicilline (DR.I.). Not a single Republican senator or representative has signed either of the bills.
The bills would be sweeping, adding to the failed 1994 ban on assault weapons, also penned by Sen. Feinstein, who was then a Senator. Joe Biden as the Acting Democratic Senator from Delaware. He is now in the Oval Office with a bag full of promissory notes to gun control groups, including his promise not only to reissue the ban on modern sporting rifles, including the AR-15 rifle, but also the plan he told CNN Anderson. said Cooper that he would confiscate them If he could.
Then vs. Now
The 1994 ban included 19 specific models of AR-15 rifles. This latest version has increased that to 205 specific models. It reinforced the cosmetic characteristics anti-weapon politicians use to try to classify an “assault weapon” when they actually have no control over the firearm’s operating system.

The latest version would prohibit any rifle that can hold a detachable magazine and at least “one military function”, including harmless accessories like threaded barrels that can accommodate silencers (which protect against hearing loss and are legal in 42 states), “barrel sleeves”. “That prevent your hands from getting burned, handles and adjustable shoulder rests.
They are literally making it up just because they want to ban all guns. Josh Sugarmann of the Gun Control Group Violence Policy Center, beaten on the term “assault weapon” in 1998, after the American public took on the inability of the American public to distinguish civilian AR-15s and M-16s used by the military based on their similar appearance.
“The gun’s threatening appearance, coupled with public confusion over fully automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic assault weapons – anything that looks like a machine gun is considered a machine gun – can only reinforce the change in public support for restricting these weapons,” wrote Sugarmann.
The latest version of the bill is just as nonsensical. The list of firearms expressly mentioned in the ban includes shotguns and rimfire rifles. One – the Remington 1100 20-Gauge Deer Gun – literally lists the firearm as a “deer pistol” rather than a so-called “assault weapon”.

That’s not all. A larger list of physical properties is also on the chopping block. It includes pistol mounts, detachable magazines, shotguns that can hold detachable magazines of more than five rounds, and any “military feature” would be prohibited.
Magazines with a load capacity greater than 10 rounds are listed. Likewise, anything with a thumbhole stock or “ball button” added to rifles in California. Bump stocks, which has already been banned by President Donald Trump, would be made illegal, if that is a word.
America buys guns, not control hardship
The difficulty for gun control groups is that MSR ownership has skyrocketed since 1994. The NSSF estimates that there are more than 20 million These rifles are in circulation today and they are the top selling center fire rifle in America. They are popular for Home defense, Recreational target shooting and hunting. The rifles that Sen. Feinstein and Rep. Cicilline want to ban were used to stop At home Invasions and the killer in Sutherland Springs, Texas.
Here is Sen. Feinstein using Nick Leghorn’s photo to argue for even more restrictions on civilian gun ownership.
The popularity The firearm lies primarily in its modularity. It can be easily adapted to a wide variety of body types. It is ergonomically designed and makes it easier for beginners to learn marksmanship. Because of this, they have adjustable stocks. It is low recoil and is offered in almost the entire caliber spectrum and has earned the nickname “America’s rifle. “
Sen. Feinstein and her gun control supporters offer benevolently a way for current owners of one of these prohibited items to keep the current one. There are only a few rules. The grandfather’s weapons would have to be kept in a locked safe or with a locking device installed.
If the owner wanted to give the firearm to someone else, including family members, it would require verification from the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS). Each of the firearms kept by the owners were required to have DOJ approved production dates engraved on the receivers. Any legacy magazines that can hold more than 10 rounds would need to be serialized but could not be broadcast.
The previous ban on assault weapons was investigated by the CDC, and researchers there concluded that the ban on rifles and Standard magazines does not affect crime reduction. The FBI’s own Data show that more murders are committed with knives, fists and clubs than with all kinds of rifles – not just with the MSR or AR-15 rifle.
This is a naked pistol grip. At a time when gun purchases are at record levels and public appetite for gun control is waning Record lows, Democrats – led by Sen. Feinstein and Rep Cicilline – choose to ignore their voters, disarm citizens and destroy the rights of the second amendment. Senator Feinstein forgets what happened the last time the Democrats got it through with a wafer-thin 52-48 votes. America voted them out and demanded their freedom back.
