Japan PM Suga says to probably invite Biden to Olympics: media

TOKYO (Reuters) – Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga said Friday that he would likely invite US President Joe Biden to the Olympics due to be held in Tokyo this summer.

“It’s only natural,” Suga said, after the leaders of other developed nations in the Seven Developed Nations Group had expressed their support for the Summer Games, according to Kyodo News.

Suga responded to a question about whether he would extend the invitation to visit the United States for a summit next month.
