LEXINGTON MAN SCHEDULED TO APPEAR ON DRUG AND WEAPON CHARGES IN LAFAYETTE COUNTY | KMMO

A 33-year-old Lexington man faces criminal charges following a search warrant in September.

The Lafayette County DTF and the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department carried out a narcotics search warrant on September 14 at a residence on Business Highway 13.

Several items were confiscated from a sneaky Thomas Kopp RV, including: approximately 1.2 grams of methamphetamine; two glass pipes; two cell phones; a semi-automatic firearm; a 30-round Glock 9 mm magazine; a socket used as a marijuana pipe; 22 caliber long rifle cartridges; and a digital scale.

Kopp is charged with a class D crime of possession of a controlled substance. a class E crime for unlawful use of a weapon; and a drug-related offense. The bond is $ 50,000 in cash or as a guarantee.

Kopp waived a formal charge and pleaded not guilty on January 19. An appeal / trial on the case will be held in the Lafayette County Circuit Court on Tuesday, February 16 at 10 a.m.
