Jedrick Andrew Brunt, 22, was accused of presenting what is believed to be a prohibited firearm in connection with an incident at the Sail and Anchor Café and Bar on Sunday.
A 22-year-old man arrested for allegedly carrying a replica firearm into a Timaru bar over the weekend has been held on bail.
Jedrick Andrew Brunt has not relied on charges of presenting what is believed to be a prohibited firearm when he appeared before Judge Joanna Maze in Timaru District Court on Tuesday.
Police claim Brunt was found with a 9mm Walther pistol at around 12:45 p.m. on Sunday in the Sail and Anchor Café and bar on Sophia Street.
Judge Maze held Brunt in custody until March 16, on bail, on condition that he would not enter the licensed premises.
