Milwaukee on the M18 Fuel Blind Rivet Tool

We remember the introduction of the Milwaukee M12 riveting tool in 2018. This wasn’t the first cordless riveting tool, but it was possibly the first designed specifically for professional craftsmen. The tool offered a viable (and much faster) alternative to hand riveting.

By redesigning the tool and upgrading the engine to the M18 fuel platform, Milwaukee can now deliver an even faster cordless riveting solution. In fact, this tool not only replaces hand-blind riveting tools, but also pneumatic riveting tools.

Cordless innovation in the riveting world

The Milwaukee M18 Fuel Blind Rivet Tool has a brushless motor that can deliver up to 4,500 pounds. the pulling force. This should be enough to produce high-strength blind rivets in almost all materials. Milwaukee is also doubling, claiming the M18 FUEL brushless motor works 50% faster than other cordless riveting tools on the market.

The Milwaukee 2660-20 also features a 3-jaw steel alloy design that provides better jaw life. Milwaukee built the M18 fuel rivet tool with an all-metal gear and plastics that are designed to withstand impact. They also use molded rubber parts that protect the tool from corrosive materials while increasing overall comfort.

Milwaukee includes a set of four retention nosepiece pieces to hold the blind rivets in place after insertion. These take 3/16 “, 7/32”, 1/4 “and 9/32” aluminum, steel and stainless steel rivets. They’re kept right in front of the handle on the right to keep them all in one place. There is an included wrench on the front that you can use to swap them out. You even get a hanging ring that pops up from the top of the tool when needed.

Milwaukee’s blind riveting tool is 12.5 inches long including the mandrel collector (10.13 inches without). When installed, the battery weighs 5.6 lbs.
