Officer/Sergeant Job – Greybull Police Department

The Greybull Police Department (Wyoming) has an immediate vacancy for a Certified Police Officer and Police Sergeant.

Police officer:

Starting Salary for Professional Certification (4+) $44,720 annually/ $21.50 per hour with full benefits.

We offer a fantastic schedule. 56 hours one week and 24 hours the following week. 12-hour shifts that change every three months. Every second weekend free.


The Sergeant position is a support/fill shift and covers shifts when officers are absent and conducts hands-on training for the patrol. Starting wage is set at $52,000 annually / $25.00 per hour with full benefits.

Sergeant qualification consists of a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience, sound law enforcement background with proven leadership skills and no prior disciplinary action. The sergeant must be an exemplary figure in all respects, both intellectually and physically, and have great communication skills.

The position of sergeant can be converted to the position of chief within a year of hiring, as the current chief may retire at that time.

All candidates must demonstrate a history of integrity, professionalism, work ethic and honesty.

The department may offer up to $5000.00 in relocation assistance for a qualified candidate upon completion of a one-year contract, with a refund for non-performance.
