Officers received surveillance footage from the mall showing that Musse and the victim got into an argument inside the building and then went outside to a brief physical battle. During the altercation outside, Musse drew a pistol at the victim and shot him multiple times, even after the victim fell to the ground, the complaint explained.
Later that day, at 4:56 pm, Musse contacted the police and made himself available. After arresting him, officers retrieved a black Glock 9mm semi-automatic pistol that Musse used in the shooting, the complaint said.
Musse confirmed he was the shooter in an interview with police and identified himself in a photo taken by surveillance. He is currently being held in the prison in the Hennepin district.
