Shooting Illustrated | First Look: SIG Sauer M18 Commemorative Edition Handgun

In 2017, SIG Sauer received the order to provide a new sidearm for the US military. The M18 is a 9mm polymer-framed pistol based on the popular P320 pistol from SIG Sauer. Like its P320 predecessor, the M18 uses a combination of handle frames that surround the fire control center and offers you an almost unlimited combination of handle frame sizes and colors.

SIG Sauer is now celebrating the acceptance of the M18 with the limited release of the M18 Commemorative Edition of the official US military service pistol. The M18 commemorative pistol shares the same components, coatings, and markings as the firearm that won the U.S. Army Order for the Modular Small Arms System (MHS) and was recently selected as the official U.S. Marine Corps sidearm.

In addition to the M18 Commemorative, an exclusive M18 Collector’s Case is available, which contains a slate-gray, flocked foam insert and precise laser placement cuts for the pistol, the official M18 Commemorative Certificate of Authenticity and the serialized M18 Commemorative Challenge Coin. The pistol also comes with a 17-round and two 21-round magazines
