Shooting Sports USA | New: Winchester Ladies Cup Sporting Clays Competition
The new Winchester Ladies Cup is a seasonal sports competition designed specifically for women participating in the National Sporting Clays Association Championship Tour operated by Winchester.
During the seven regional events of the NSCA Championship Tour, an additional $ 5,000 in cash will be given to the top three all-round competitors at each event. The cash awards are based on the highest cumulative scores in the Five-Stand, Main and FITASC events. The payout for the all-round champion is $ 2,500, $ 1,500 for runner-up, and $ 1,000 for third place.
At the end of the 2021 NSCA Championship Tour, the Winchester Ladies Cup trophy and $ 10,000 will be awarded to the three female shooters with the highest cumulative placements for the entire season. The Winchester Ladies Cup Champion receives the trophy plus a cash prize of US $ 5,000. $ 3,000 will be awarded to runner-up and $ 2,000 to third place.
Winchester has a long history of promoting women in the sport of shooting. In addition to the NSCA Championship Tour, Winchester sponsors the official ammunition of the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP), a group that introduces the sport of shooting to thousands of young women each year. And representatives of Winchester such as Kim Rhode, Dania Vizzi, Maddy Bernau, Becky Yackley, Taylor Thorne, Kemble DuPont and Desirae Edmonds are high-ranking competitive shooters in various disciplines such as sport clay and 3-gun. Everyone wants to inspire and serve as a role model for the next generation.
Says Team Winchester marksman Desirae Edmunds:
“I am consistently impressed by the way Winchester brings innovative thinking to support the sport of shooting. Winchester’s commitment to actively growing participation is unparalleled and I know many women who will benefit greatly from the Winchester Ladies Cup. ”
