Shooting USA | Buck Holly wins Top Gas Gun in the Federal King Of Coal Canyon PRS Match

In the 2021 Federal King of Coal Canyon Precision Rifle Series (PRS) match on Saturday, May 22nd, Team Federal’s Buck Holly secured the title of Top Gas Gun with a score of 111. As the name suggests, this was it new PRS match from Federal. sponsored premium and performed at the NRA Whittington Center in Raton, NM

Match Director Derek Love and his staff presented a challenging course for the talented field of 120 shooters. On his way to the Top Gas Gun title, Holly completed 20 different stages in wind and rain that resulted in a flash flood on the shooting range.

Holly shot Federal 105-grain Berger Hybrid 6mm Creedmoor ammunition to win the top trophy in the gas gun category. In his opinion, the consistent performance of the federal ammunition was crucial to his success in the game.

“With the conditions we were exposed to and the challenging course of the shot, it was nice to know that I could rely on my ammunition to perform consistently. The Gold Medal 6 mm Creedmoor shoots really well in the wind. ”

Originally from Richmond Hill, Georgia, Holly is a small business owner and avid hunter in addition to PRS competitions and training.
