Small Portable Power Plant | 1500 watt inverter KTB1000

Little Jump starts his construction site power game with a portable 1500 watt power station

As construction site technology continues to increase, ‘dirty’ electricity from a generator is not a good solution for keeping your devices charged. The Klein Portable Power Station offers a clean energy solution with the option of harnessing the sun’s light energy as a bonus.

Small Portable Power Plant KTB1000 | the big deal

This was one we didn’t see coming. The fact that Klein has a higher capacity power supply is a big deal for the brand. Many battery inverters in the same class come from names that don’t have a reputation for standing by their products like Klein does.

The device itself stores 983 watt hours of pure sine wave energy. It is capable of producing up to 1500 watts continuously with 3000 watts of burst power. Thanks to pass-through charging, you can charge the device and the power devices at the same time. There’s also an impressive array of outlet options:

  • 4 x 120V
  • 3 x USB A
  • 3 x USB-C
  • 1 x 12V

Additional functions

  • Digital LCD display
  • 2.5 hour charge time to 80% (slower charge to 100% to protect battery life)
  • Built-in MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking)
  • Battery designed for 500 charging cycles
  • Storage space built into the bus stop
  • Washable, reusable filter
  • Weighs 43 pounds

Small solar panels

Not only is the Klein Portable Power Station solar ready, but Klein has the solar panels available so you don’t have to wonder if the ones you’re looking at have the right connection. Each folding panel is rated for 60 watts and you can connect two of them for charging.

If you use modules from other brands, the power station can handle up to 400 watts of solar input.

Keep in mind that solar panels rarely reach their maximum power rating. While plugging it in can help extend the device’s runtime, the panels will struggle to keep up when you’re charging multiple devices or operating power tools.
