Stop a saw blade with your finger Video!

If you thought you were sticking your hand inside a living, spinning table saw blade, it would be difficult – imagine doing it TWICE! This time Kenny Köhler puts his index finger in the path of the Bosch Reaxx table saw blade. It does it to see how it fares with a front-of-blade contact. And let me tell you, sticking your finger into a spinning saw blade is no laughing matter.

Stopping a saw blade with your finger is NOT something you want to try at home (or at work). Pro Tool Reviews has gone to great lengths to minimize the potential damage. Imagine what could happen to your finger if the system didn’t work as expected. Again, Bosch Tools did NOT endorse or recommend this test.

You can see our previous test which shows what it looks like to stick your hand in a saw blade.

We tested the Bosch ReaXX table saw and the SawStop JSS-MCA table saw. There are many ways to test how the Bosch meat detection saw behaves in a real situation. We opted for more dramatic collisions with the blade. After all, it doesn’t often happen that the blade is given a feather-like nudge.

Sticking your finger into a spinning saw blade is not a good idea

If you think you want to stop a saw blade with your finger, then you should try it for yourself after watching this video. A spinning saw blade shouldn’t be something you want to casually get close to.
