Two weapons confiscated during weekend operations

Falmouth Police seized a 9mm pistol with nine rounds of ammunition during an operation on Market Street, Falmouth, Trelawny on Saturday 25 September.

Lawmen were reportedly on duty around 1:00 p.m. when an abandoned building was searched and the weapon was found. No arrest was made in connection with the seizure.

The investigation continues.

In another operation, on Saturday, September 26, police seized a homemade firearm from an operation on 2ND Avenue, Flankers, St. James. No arrest was made in connection with the seizure.

According to reports from the Coral Gardens Police, a police team carried out an operation in the Flankers community at around 8:30 a.m. An abandoned building was searched and the weapon was found.

The investigation continues.
