Given the brand's unstoppable association with tuxedo-sporting super spy 007, the nickname Black Tie certainly seems appropriate.

BLACK TIE

The special edition “Black Tie” is deliberately kept discreet, but its elegant look and its performance plus make this unassailable Q5 Steel Frame a modern classic.

The barrel, bolt, steel frame and even the magazine base plate of the “Black Tie” are all nitrided and polished with Tenifer® to offer outstanding hardness and phenomenal corrosion protection. The parts are then coated with Stinox®, which leaves a high-quality satin finish with excellent protection against corrosion and wear.

To improve functionality, a dynamic performance trigger was introduced. This is a dynamic match trigger with superior features of reduced pickup, trigger stop and trigger reset. On its wall, the flat aluminum trigger shoe breaks like glass at 5.5 pounds.

The one-piece, all-round aluminum handle is made from a solid block of aerospace-grade aluminum alloy and the magazine base plate is made from a solid block of pure steel, resulting in a homogeneous, balanced structure. With 20 lines per inch checkering and satin anodizing, protectors discover the ergonomics in the palm of the hand, which feels like an extension of your hand. The striking “Black Tie” edition is completed by a black, serrated target and an adjustable match visor, both of which are fully integrated into the lock.

The Walther Q5 Steel Frame “Black Tie” promises unparalleled performance that can only be found at Walther, a company that is characterized by over a century of passion for engineering, precision work and innovation.

“Our noticeable passion for excellence is paired with the courage to try something groundbreaking with the Black Tie model. With a subtle look that leaves no doubt about the quality, we have merged performance and aesthetics at a high level into a remarkable product, ”says Bernhard Knöbel, Managing Director of Carl Walther GmbH.
